Resident Testimonials
Elnora
“When I decided it was time for me to move to an assisted living community, I was very concerned about my dog “Buddy.” I knew I couldn’t move without him because taking care of him is my life. To my delight, Bethesda Gardens welcomed both of us, and I now walk the halls with him after dinner each night. Buddy also enjoys taking a stroll through our private courtyard.
The dining is great and I enjoy the friendship of my fellow residents at mealtime. The caring staff make me feel at home and I love the fact that I can still maintain my independence. My family visits often and we can come and go as we wish. All in all, I would recommend Bethesda Gardens to anyone who is looking for the highest quality senior living.”

Why did you choose to live at Broadmoor Court?
“Broadmoor Court was my family’s choice because they live right up the street.”
What is the best thing about living at Broadmoor Court?
“I’m a bit of a loner, always have been, so I don’t join in but am always invited. The staff are the best because they let me be an individual and respect my privacy.”

Ethel
Ethel has lived here since January 2010 and loves it because she likes knowing she is being taken care of. She was having some medical issues which made it no longer possible to be in her own home. She and her family were looking for a place that would allow her to be close to family, but still give her the assistance she was needing.
Her son told her that just knowing that she is being taken care of so he doesn’t have to worry about her being alone has made it less stressful for him and her other children. Ethel enjoys the activities that are offered at the here at the Cambridge Court Community. She loves the fact that we invite family to come and take part in any and all activities, and that we also have special Family Center activities.
“If I can’t be at home, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else than here,” is Ethel’s favorite saying to use when describing our community.

Delma
Delma is the newest resident to arrive at our facility. She moved in November 2010. Before coming to Cambridge Court, she was living at another assisted living facility where she was having issues with some of the staff. She is happy that she has made the move to Cambridge Court and likes that she is heard and is treated like a person here. The residents at Cambridge Court are very friendly and the staff is very nice, they treat her well.
Although her previous facility offered some activities, they were only offered once a month. She likes that she has more opportunities to go on community outings here at Cambridge Court, where they are offered weekly.

Grace
“There are so many reasons I’ve fallen in love with living at Bethesda Gardens. I have been embraced by the whole community here and every need I have is taken care of. I looked at several different assisted living communities before coming to Bethesda Gardens, but the moment I walked in the door, I knew this was home. Everyone is always so helpful and friendly—they’ve become my family. They take such good care of me and I can enjoy myself and be active, and not have to worry about cleaning my apartment, washing my laundry or cooking my meals—they take care of all that for me and do such a beautiful job. And for my family it’s a relief to know that I am safe and happy and enjoying myself every day. I cannot imagine living anywhere but here at Bethesda Gardens.”

Marc
Marc originally heard about Bethesda Gardens through a case worker, and it was his unanimous choice out of five other facilities! “First impressions are everything,” Marc commented. “The Bethesda Community is a fine place to call home.”
He likes the feeling of Mountain Resort living, the friendly, non-threatening atmosphere, and wide variety of amenities and activities. It’s a place that provides emotional healing and spiritual renewal. Marc enjoys calling bingo on Saturday night, dealing poker on Tuesday night, piano playing, and participating in Rummikub.
He recently received the nickname “Top Gun” from a wise resident, a name he carries with him through the many physical challenges of life. He enjoys the rewards of being around mature adults and the wealth of wisdom they provide. He remarked, “The quality mix of people is another attribute that makes living here a worthwhile place.”

Nila & Joe
“Before coming to Bethesda Gardens, I had heard nothing but good things about living here. When we moved, I was first amazed by the décor. Bethesda Gardens takes care of everything. Joe and I are happy that we don’t have to cook because we have such good food here. Our one-bedroom apartment has plenty of room and we don’t feel cramped.
The staff is so very nice and we are well taken care of. When we push our pager, they come to help us immediately. And with all of the activities, we don’t have the chance to get bored. We have the privilege of going on many different outings into the community. Also, I have access to the internet and can communicate with my many Facebook friends. I like everything about Bethesda Gardens.”

Joann
“I’ve lived at Bethesda Gardens for over eight years now. I decided to move here after visiting for the Strawberry Festival. The staff was very nice and allowed me to look around, but I wanted a courtyard room and there weren’t any available. I thought I might have to wait for a long time, but I received a call two weeks later that a courtyard room had opened up.
Since coming to Bethesda Gardens, I can say I really like it here. I occasionally need help and they do all the cooking, housekeeping, and laundry. After raising seven children, I must say it’s now my turn to be spoiled and that’s why I like living here.”

Freida
“I chose to look into assisted living over five years ago because I realized that I needed help. Bethesda Gardens was the first place my family and I visited and we were greeted at the front door by a very sweet dog. It felt so home-like that we decided Bethesda Gardens was the place for me. And after moving here, that dog would visit my apartment every night.
I enjoy Bethesda Gardens because of the fellowship with friends and because I never feel like I’m alone. With the push of my call button, someone is instantly there to help me with whatever I need. Sometimes two people show up to help me. I love the different entertainment each week and know that there is always something to do if I so choose.”

Don
“Last week we went to the Veterans’ Day Parade. I loved the old cars and the horses. My life is beautiful now! Everybody has been so good to me, it’s just unbelievable. And when I wasn’t feeling well and I was complaining, nobody hollered at me. I have a beautiful apartment and a beautiful bathroom, and the ladies that take care of my apartment are just dolls. And the food is marvelous! I don’t like green beans and I don’t like rice so they never serve it to me! They must have photographic memories! How do they remember what everybody likes? I won’t ever forget our trip to Cripple Creek. We laughed and had a great time.”
