Springtime Activities are Here!

Now that winter has almost passed, we are getting ready to enjoy some springtime fun. Our annual Easter Egg Hunt and visit from the Easter Bunny was a real success. We saw lots of happy smiles and great participation in our coloring contest and face painting. This April, we are hosting a Car Show and all the proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Association. It is open to the public and all are welcome! There will be cars to see, food to eat, and fun to be had by all!

We can’t forget our sweet Mothers on Mother’s Day. They spent their lives caring for their children and guiding them along the way, and we look forward to honoring them. We are hosting a Spa Day for these special ladies to say thank you for all that they did. We all look forward to our annual Spring Picnic at Benbrook Lake. The bus ride around the lake after the picnic is one of the high points that we all enjoy. Another springtime activity that the Residents enjoy is going to Granbury and eating at the many cafes around the square. The Residents also enjoy the bus ride around old town Granbury. We are having a breakfast to honor our Residents who are Fathers. There will be a special Father’s Day Breakfast which their families will be able to attend. We look forward to honoring these individuals who spent their lives nurturing and providing for their families.

Every Friday we have a Catholic Mass at 10:00 a.m., and you’re welcome to join us anytime! We also have a worship service every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. that is open to anyone who wants to attend.

We are so happy that spring is finally here so we can get back to our bus outings around our community. Fort Worth has so many interesting places to visit, like downtown North Side, which is called Cow Town. Every day at twelve they drive Texas longhorns down Exchange Street in the heart of Fort Worth. We are looking forward to continuing these activities and more as spring gets into full swing. We would like to invite family and friends to attend our activities, so as we watch the wonder of spring bloom around us, we hope that you will be inspired to come and celebrate with us. If you are interested in participating in any of our upcoming events, or in volunteering your time, please contact Debbie Morrison, Activities Director, by phone 817-292-8886 or dmorrison@ba.org.
